Theodore Roosevelt (26)
" Republican (almost 2 full terms), McKinley's vice president, Rough Rider
" Lead the charge up San Juan Hill during the Spanish-American War.
" youngest person to become president at the age of 42, "Walk softly & carry a big stick"
" First president to call his residence in Washington, D.C. the "White House".
" First president to fly, submerge in a submarine, or leave the country while in office.
" first U.S. president to win the Nobel Peace Prize, face on Mt. Rushmore
" Set aside vast wilderness lands for conservation. These later became part of the country's national parks & nature reserves.
" The "Teddy Bear" was named after President Theodore Roosevelt because he spared the life of a bear club during a hunting trip. (HATED being called Teddy. Known by initials - T.R.)

William Howard Taft (27)
" Republican (1 full term), heaviest president, weighing 332 pounds at one point.
" Got stuck in the White House bath tub, He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery
" only president to serve as Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court

Woodrow Wilson (28)
" Democrat (2 terms - Beat Theodore Roosevelt & William Howard Taft in 1912 for the job)
" Amendments passed during his presidency: 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th
" Sinking of the Lusitania, Zimmerman Telegram, World War I, 14 points
" Won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1920 for his efforts in seeking peace after World War I and supporting the League of Nations.
" A flock of sheep was raised on the White House lawn during Wilson's term. The wool was used to raise money for the Red Cross during World War I.
" Wilson was the first and only president to have earned a Ph.D.
" He was the first president to cross the Atlantic Ocean while in office.
" His wife, Edith Wilson, was his connection with the outside world after he suffered a stroke which paralyzed his left side. She is considered the most powerful first lady there ever was.
" Wilson was the 2nd president to personally address Congress. (the first being Washington)
" Wilson is the only president buried in Washington D.C. (Taft and Kennedy are buried in Arlington, but it's in Virginia.)
